You'll drive projects spanning quantum cryptography, quantum machine learning, and materials science simulation while shaping NexusLabs' 5-year quantum roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead quantum computing research initiatives targeting 2026 breakthrough milestones
- Manage cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, engineers, and AI specialists
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop scalable quantum processors
- Drive quantum machine learning applications for predictive analytics
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at quantum computing conferences
- Secure $2M+ annual research funding through grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm development and quantum hardware integration
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience managing research teams and multi-year quantum projects
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated ability to secure government/industry research funding
