Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research with commercial viability for 2026+ applications
- Lead a 12-person multidisciplinary R&D team in quantum hardware-software integration
- Develop patentable quantum error correction methodologies for scalable systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions for Fortune 500 clients
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Demonstrated success leading technical teams in high-stakes R&D environments
- Expertise in cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit architectures
- Strong track record of securing government research grants
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
