Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical industrial applications in cryptography and materials science
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, software engineers, and domain specialists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private sector partners
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Establish industry partnerships with Fortune 500 companies for real-world quantum deployment
- Mentor next-generation quantum researchers through our PhD fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum hardware/software integration (superconducting/ion trap/qubit systems)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical optimization algorithms
- Experience managing federal research grants and academic-industry collaborations
- Strong publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance principles
- Certification in quantum machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow Quantum)
