Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, material science, and AI optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototyping quantum systems
- Secure multi-million dollar grants from NSF and DARPA for quantum research initiatives
- Develop quantum-resistant security protocols for financial and healthcare applications
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journal
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory through our Stanford partnership
- Shape industry standards through IEEE quantum computing working groups
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants ($1M+)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy challenges and 2026 roadmaps
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing hardware (D-Wave, IBM Q)
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum-classical hybrid systems
