Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Manage a team of 8-12 quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure and manage federal research grants and corporate partnerships
- Publish 3+ high-impact papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Represent the company at global quantum technology summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years leading quantum research teams with demonstrated qubit scaling
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Experience securing $1M+ in quantum research funding
- Expertise in Q#, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy challenges and mitigation strategies
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts to practical implementations
