Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead a cross-functional research team of 8-10 quantum specialists and software engineers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing adoption in enterprise environments
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Drive quantum security protocols to address post-quantum cryptography challenges
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum computing or related fields
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience leading technical teams of 5+ researchers/engineers
- Familiarity with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in complex algorithm design and computational complexity theory
- Excellent communication skills for translating quantum concepts to executive stakeholders
