Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Design and execute experimental protocols on 1000+ qubit quantum processors
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists, software engineers, and domain specialists
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum supremacy breakthroughs
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners on quantum adoption roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing systems
- Proven track record of publishing top-tier quantum computing research
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience securing federal research grants
