Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmap targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and private sector partners
- Validate quantum hardware prototypes through rigorous testing protocols
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications for quantum innovations
- Mentor PhD researchers and postdoctoral fellows in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated success securing DoE or NSF research grants
