You will lead a multidisciplinary team of physicists, computer scientists, and engineers in developing quantum applications for cryptography, optimization, and AI. Our state-of-the-art facility in San Francisco provides unparalleled resources including 128-qubit processors and cryogenic computing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms with error correction protocols
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing adoption across industries
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers and interns in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity
- Experience managing research teams and budgets
- Patents in quantum technologies preferred
