- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Manage cross-disciplinary research teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in commercial and scientific domains
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and partnerships with quantum hardware providers
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science and industry whitepapers
- Drive quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptographic standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of R&D experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm implementation on real hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience securing government/industry research grants ($1M+)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong leadership skills managing technical teams of 10+ researchers
