Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors for 2026 deployment
- Design novel quantum algorithms targeting exponential speedups in optimization problems
- Secure $20M+ in quantum research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Author white papers establishing industry standards for quantum error correction
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with IBM, Google, and Rigetti on quantum cloud infrastructure
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Published 15+ peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals on quantum systems
- Proven track record leading quantum computing projects with $10M+ budgets
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Strong background in topological quantum computing architectures
- Active DOE Q-NET or NSF quantum research grants as PI/co-PI
