Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization challenges
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum gate fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to characterize qubit performance metrics
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science divisions
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit or Cirq frameworks
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation tools
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubits
- Strong track record of translating theoretical models to experimental validation
