Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum processors with classical computing systems
- Lead research initiatives in topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research in quantum information science
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting qubits, ion traps, photonic systems)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams with physicists, engineers, and software developers
