Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation techniques for quantum hardware stability
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum software solutions
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge software-hardware integration
- Secure external research funding through grant proposals and partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical documentation
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms and quantum error correction
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
