Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research into quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop scalable quantum processors
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD grant applications
- Participate in quantum security protocol development for 2026 infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum software tools (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
