Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum concepts into prototype applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM quantum conferences
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DoE quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum processor designs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2025 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithmic optimization
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
