Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors
- Secure and manage federal research grants ($500K-$2M)
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Develop roadmaps for quantum adoption in finance, logistics, and AI
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulation frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science/Quantum journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction techniques
