Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead qubit stabilization research to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum error correction protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Mentor junior researchers and establish cross-functional quantum computing standards
- Secure $2M+ in quantum computing grants through NIH/NSF partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and qubit coherence techniques
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum computing platforms
- Strong track record of securing research funding and leading technical teams
