Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with improved gate fidelities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum innovations
- Partner with industry leaders to translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals on quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and quantum decoherence
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks with quantum applications
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Preferred: Demonstrated success in securing quantum computing research grants
