Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop error-correction protocols and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead research initiatives in quantum supremacy and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure research funding through government and private partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Track record of publications in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
