Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for quantum hardware
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum gate operations
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DoD grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Develop IP strategy for quantum-resistant cryptography solutions
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Proven ability to secure government or corporate research grants
