Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting platforms
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum applications
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across the organization
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Develop quantum error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into actionable solutions
- Track record of securing research grants or patents
