Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure government and private funding for experimental quantum projects
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or D-Wave)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in cryogenic systems and microwave control engineering
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience securing SBIR grants or DARPA partnerships
