Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DoD programs
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum information science (minimum 5 papers)
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- US citizenship required for government-funded projects
