Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms targeting 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum error correction and hardware optimization
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop proprietary quantum machine learning frameworks for industrial applications
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum computing
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to bridge theory-practice gaps
- Secure federal grants (NSF, DOE) and industry partnerships for 2026 quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm optimization
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum development frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with high-performance computing environments
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for interdisciplinary audiences
