Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Develop quantum software frameworks and tools for commercial quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum computing research
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms, complexity theory, and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms including superconducting qubits and trapped ions
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and differential equations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
