Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization and simulation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design error-correction frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF/NIH/DARPA
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or topological physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with scientific computing libraries
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers
