Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop advanced error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Publish breakthrough research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants from NSF, DoE, and private sector partners
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
