Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experiments with superconducting qubit systems at 10mK temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for 2026 roadmap initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM/Qiskit or Rigetti)
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in C++/Python and low-level quantum assembly languages
- Security clearance preferred for government-funded projects
- Experience with cryogenic systems and RF control engineering
