Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in DoE/NIST grants for 2026 initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Strong programming skills (Python, C++, Rust)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Security clearance eligibility (for DoE collaborations)
