Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Design and implement error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with academic and industry partners
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and EU Horizon grants
- Mentor PhD interns and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Proficiency with high-performance computing and simulation frameworks
- Experience securing competitive research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware constraints (qubit coherence, gate fidelity)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
