Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications for Fortune 500 clients
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at top-tier conferences like QIP
- Secure government and private research grants totaling $10M+
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Drive patent development for quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and hardware interfaces
- Proven track record of translating theoretical models into functional quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding (NSF/DOE)
