Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques for scalable quantum circuit execution
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional R&D teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum information science
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Familiarity with low-level quantum hardware control systems
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
