Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected quantum processors
- Lead open-source quantum software initiatives with GitHub integration
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Secure NSF and DoE grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development with Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Published peer-reviewed papers in quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Strong track record of securing research funding
