Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in simulating quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers in top-tier quantum journals annually
- Collaborate with hardware teams to benchmark quantum processor performance
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Present findings at premier quantum computing conferences (Q2C, IEEE QCE)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Proven track record of securing government or corporate research funding
