Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects on superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate quantum solutions into hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2024 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum computing or quantum information
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance methodologies
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems (D-Wave, IBM Q, or Rigetti)
- Track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with engineering teams
