Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error-correction codes to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting platforms
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into physical implementations
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent disclosures
- Present research findings at international conferences including QIP and APS March Meeting
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped ions
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra and group theory
