Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on proprietary hardware
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into machine learning pipelines
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC clusters)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and noise mitigation
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance language (C++, Rust, or Python with Numba)
