Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate quantum processors with classical systems
- Publish research in leading journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies and intellectual property
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum gate-based systems or quantum annealing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in quantum information science or related fields
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped ion technologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex quantum systems
