In this role, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers in our state-of-the-art Austin facility, leveraging our $500M quantum infrastructure to solve previously impossible challenges.
Our interdisciplinary teams are developing quantum algorithms for drug discovery, climate modeling, and AI optimization. Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum processors into machine learning pipelines
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from government and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
