Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical models
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Develop roadmaps for quantum computing applications in 2026-2030
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
