Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex optimization problems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or cryptography
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Strong track record of securing government or corporate research funding
