Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems in logistics and cryptography
- Lead R&D on quantum error correction techniques for scalable fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions for enterprise quantum applications
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation workshops
- Secure federal and private quantum computing research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science journals or equivalent quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation strategies
- Proven track record of translating theoretical models to experimental prototypes
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
