Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum software with quantum processors
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications
- Identify emerging quantum technologies and assess their commercial viability
- Secure patents and intellectual property for novel quantum computing methods
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative research environments
