Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum decoherence mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors and test protocols
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional project teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum computing field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum information theory or algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum circuit simulation and hardware control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and secure research grants
