Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and ion-trap platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and computational complexity
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms and complexity theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments and HPC optimization
