Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing protocols on superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial products
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (QASM, Quil) and high-performance computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ systems)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through competitive grants
