Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for scalable qubit systems
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional research teams to validate quantum supremacy claims
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Secure funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum algorithm design for real-world applications
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
