Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum software solutions
- Publish high-impact research in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from federal agencies and private foundations
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Expertise in at least one quantum computing framework (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals (Nature, Science, PRL, etc.)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems and control electronics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Ability to secure and manage research funding from federal agencies (DARPA, NSF, DOE)
