Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead experimental quantum hardware optimization projects with our engineering team
- Develop error mitigation protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial solutions
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
- Strong collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography standards (NIST PQC)
